First celebrated in 1937, the
Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee is one of the oldest watermelon
festivals in Texas. Always the third weekend in June, the Jubilee is a refreshing slice of summer time fun. Come join
us, we're sure you'll have a great time! All activities
except the parade are held at the beautiful Stockdale city
park.

New for 2009!
The Watermelon Crawl 5K Run begins at Jackson Nature Park (on CR 401)
and finishes in front of Stockdale City Hall on Main Street (Business
HWY 87). Registration begins @ 6:30am on Saturday, June 20th.
Preregistration forms are available online or at Bang Electric in
Stockdale.
The Jubilee STAR Experience will feature steak dinner and drinks in the
VIP tent, meet
& greet with the concert stars, pictures with the concert
performers, autographed lawn chair and specialized reserved front row
seating for
the concerts and rodeo. Quite a bargain for only $100 per person.
A new carnival will be presented by Century21shows.
Presale tickets will be available at a reduced price of 7 ride tickets
for $10.00, which also includes entry into a raffle for a bike each
night. The price at the Jubilee will be $3.00 per ticket.
Largest watermelon in Wilson County contest. Judging will take place at
8:00am on Saturday, June 20 at the Stockdale Emergency Services
Building.
Calvin Finch will be at the Stockdale Garden Club booth on Saturday,
June 20 from 3:00-5:00. He'll answer gardening questions and give away
free xeriscape plants while they last.
